BMX racing is mainly a spring and summer sport, although BMX East region runs a winter league. Races are accessible, friendly and family oriented, often with a number of generations taking part in the same meeting. For more details, the race events for the EAST are available at the BMX East website.
Riders must have a silver or gold British Cycling race membership and a transponder:
- Riders will ride for their primary club as shown on their British Cycling Membership;
- Timing chip - timing systems are a critical element of BMX racing, in preparation for a race riders will require a timing chip, which is available from MyLaps. Timing chips can be borrowed, it is worth speaking to a member of the club for more details;
- Results - During the race, gate times will be updated on the OurSqorz website.
